Following discussions on the topic of emptiness and whiteness, a text was selected and translated into International Morse code. This Morse text was then cut out along the length of a white concertina book and posted to Japan for inclusion in the GUNMAdabada exhibition at  AIS Gallery. The paper that had been hole-punched out of the book was collected and kept in Edinburgh in its original sequence: a positive/negative reflection between two geographical locations.

‘…in essence whiteness is not so much a colour as the visible absence of all colours, and at the same time, the concrete of all colours.’ – Moby Dick
